Mikkeller "Beer Geek Brunch Weasel" Imperial Oatmeal Stout w/Civet Coffee
500ml (10.9%)

This imperial Oatmeal stout is brewed with one of the world’s most expensive coffees,
made from droppings of weasel-like civetcats. The fussy Southeast Asian animals only eat the best and ripest coffee berries. Enzymes in their digestive system help to break down the bean. Workers collect the bean-containing droppings for Civet or Weasel Coffee. The exceedingly rare Civet Coffee has a strong taste and an even stronger aroma.

Dieu du Ciel! “Aphrodite” Cocoa & Vanilla Stout
Black ale with aromas and flavours of vanilla, dark chocolate, bourbon and roasted malt. The vanilla and cocoa marry nicely, without out-competing each other, to produce a surprisingly well balanced beer. This beer is mildly hoppy, but the cocoa introduces a touch of bitterness. Its colour may be intimidating, but it is a very smooth beer within reach of most beer drinkers. This highly appreciated dessert beer is brewed with organic fair-trade cocoa and first rate vanilla beans.

petrus aged pale

Jillian
Petrus "Oak Aged Pale" Ale
Blended from two specially made pale beers and one dark, the latter aged for 20-24 months in wood. The brewery has three cellars of wooden casks, each with nine 60-hectolitre vessels. A fourth cellar, the one primarily used, has beautifully maintained casks of 220 hectoliters each. These are about 50 years old, bought a couple of decades ago from France, where they first held white wine and then Calvados.

Katy
Mikkeller “Black Hole” Russian Imperial Stout – Aged in Red Wine Barrels
Black Hole is what Mikkeller is all about. Daring, vulgar and extreme. From the very beginning Mikkellers goal has been to push the limit and with this warming, intense imperial stout, a new chapter in the Danish beer history has been written. The high bitterness from the hops and the sweetness from the malt and alcohol, creates a good balance which makes Black Hole an explosion of nuances, but also leaves a feeling of a perfect and complex beer – in the heavyweight category.

brigand
Liz
Kasteel “Brigand” Belgian Strong Pale Ale
This sweetly lingering Belgian triple pours, with a flair and elegance typical of its origins, a hazy amber-orange with a beautiful white and foamy head. Extremely aromatic and pungent, expect to discern and air of strikingly exotic candied fruits, bright banana and the zip and sting of more peppery notes. The palate of this sparkling, carbonated 9% alcohol brew is subtle at first - belying the exuberant taste at its center – one nearly reminiscent of white wine, but with that familiar solid character only found in finely brewed biers such as Brigand's.

sanctification
Paul
Russian River Brewing Co. “Sanctification” American Wild Ale
The base recipe is for a Golden Ale, but they do the primary fermentation with 100% brettanomyces. The brett gives it some sour notes but not as much as if it had been aged with lacto and pedio. It’s rather refreshing on a warm day!
barid angry boy
Sarah
Baird Brewing “Angry Boy Brown”
Beneath the cool facade of the warrior, a red-hot flame of intensity, determination and, yes, anger burns. So it is with this unpredictable Brown Ale: fleeting malty sweetness and warmth hide complexity, a barely controlled bitterness, and, naturally, a bit of an angry edge. You’ve really got yourself into a situation now. "Anger is energy. Use it, then let it go." Kampai!

uinta tilted smile
Tommaso
Uinta “Tilted Smile” Imperial Pilsner
Big in alcohol, yet approachable and versatile. Confidently balanced with Saaz hops and 100% Pilsen malt. Crisp and delightfully carbonated.
